Lindsey Steger is a graduate from Southwestern Assemblies of God University where she received her Associates of Arts degree in Bible, her Associates of Science degree in Psychology, her Bachelors of Science degree in Counseling, and her Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. She is also a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Lindsey has been an ABA Therapist for 2 ½ years and has experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages of 2 and 10. Lindsey also has worked with students ranging from the ages of 12 to 27. In addition, Lindsey has seen a variety of clients of all ages who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger management issues, self-management and self-care difficulties, addiction, ADD, and trouble with adjusting to lifestyle changes. She is certified in Prepare-Enrich Premarital Counseling and she enjoys working with couples and families of all different backgrounds and cultures. Lindsey has obtained training and is seeking further training in Animal Assisted Counseling (AAC) and she will soon obtain her certification in Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC). Her favorite theoretical approaches to counseling include Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Lindsey seeks to empower clients to reach their full potential and to become who they truly are. She is an encourager and someone who has a heart for people of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, and backgrounds. Lindsey is open to having sessions with everyone and has a desire to become knowledgeable about all mental health issues.
