Michan Burton is a clinical psychology doctoral student at The Chicago School. She is passionate about supporting mental health and emotional well-being. Michan holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and a Master of Arts in Psychology from The Chicago School. During her graduate program, Michan has had hands-on experience as an art therapy intern, having worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a mental health hospital setting to support their healing and growth. These experiences have shaped her passion and strengthened her sense of purpose in supporting others, and she believes that every individual is deserving of a meaningful and fulfilling life. Michan’s purpose is to empower others to overcome challenges, rediscover their path, and work toward achieving personal goals. She enjoys creative expression such as painting, water coloring, sculpting, creating jewelry, and pottery, while also connecting to nature and cooking a variety of foods. These creative outlets help her stay grounded and inspired in the work she does.
