Hi there! My name is Kamaria (Kam) Chisolm, PhD. I’m a psychologist who specializes in conducting psychological assessments and employing evidence-based treatment methods for individuals of all ages. I’m passionate about working with people from diverse backgrounds to help them identify their current challenges, develop effective solutions to their problems, and discover their strengths and values along the way.
I completed my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Howard University in Washington, DC and went on to receive my Masters from Canisius University in Buffalo, NY. I received my doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University.
My counseling philosophy is deeply rooted in the shared experiences we all have. Through my work both in the US and abroad, I’ve come to understand that we all strive to do our best given the circumstances we face.
I genuinely care about every client I work with. I honor the courage it takes for them to share their private and personal information, and I don’t take the privilege of creating a safe space for their experiences for granted.
My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable opening up about your experiences and exploring paths to your best self. By doing so, you can gain insights into your background and experiences, ultimately leading you to develop clear plans for achieving your goals.
