Nadia McCoy, LPC-A, is a bilingual (English and Spanish) counselor dedicated to helping individuals discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change in their lives. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Choice Theory, she approaches counseling as a collaborative process that fosters self-reflection, personal growth, and empowerment.
She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship provides a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences, gain greater self-awareness, and develop the insight needed to resolve challenges from within. Through the process of self-reflection, clients are given the opportunity to increase their consciousness, identify patterns that may be limiting their growth, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling ways of living.
Her goal is to help clients see themselves clearly—as if looking into a mirror—so they can recognize their strengths, build resilience, overcome life’s obstacles, and establish goals that allow them to reach their fullest potential. She is passionate about helping clients find meaning, purpose, and direction while creating lasting positive change.
Prior to entering private practice, Nadia gained extensive experience in education as a classroom teacher (middle & high school level) and school counselor at the elementary and middle school levels. These experiences have provided her with a deep understanding of child development, family dynamics, academic challenges, and the social-emotional needs of children, adolescents, and families.
As a wife and mother, she deeply values family, connection, and the importance of human relationships. She believes that meaningful relationships are the cornerstone of personal growth, fulfillment, and success. She also recognizes that some of life’s simplest moments often bring the greatest joy and most rewarding experiences. Her counseling approach reflects these values by helping clients strengthen relationships, cultivate self-understanding, and create lives that align with what matters most to them.
